Getting here:
Rockland is located in mid-coast Maine and there are a variety of ways to get here.
By Air: Major airlines fly to the Portland Jetport (PWM). From Portland it's a two-hour trip to Rockland either by bus (Concord Trailways: 1-800-639-3317) or limo (Mid-Coast Limo: 1-800-937-2424 ~ Advance reservations required).
Another option is to fly US Airways Express (800-428-4322) on one of their many daily flights between Logan Airport in Boston (BOS) and Rockland (RKD).
By Bus: Concord Trailways: (1-800-639-3317) provides regular service to Rockland from Logan Airport and South Station in Boston or from their terminal in Portland.
By Car: Four hours by car from Boston, two from Portland.
When traveling from southern Maine on the Maine Turnpike (Interstate-95 North), take Exit 52.
Follow I-295 North. Take Exit 28, "Coastal Route - Brunswick/Bath and Rockland".
Follow U.S. Route 1 North (approximately 40 miles) to Rockland.

When you reach Rockland if you're traveling from southern Maine,
go straight through the first two traffic lights.
At the third light, turn left onto Main Street.
Follow Route 1 North for just a little less than a mile.
Turn right just BEFORE the Irving gas station/convenience store.
Turn right again and come down over the hill. You'll see the schooner. Come through the gate and park.

If you're coming from the west (Augusta),
at the intersection of Route 1 (at McDonalds) and the Route 1 Bypass, turn right and go about a tenth of a mile.
Turn left as soon as you've passed the Irving gas station.
Take your first right, down over the hill and you'll see the schooner. Come through the gate and park.

go straight through the intersection at McDonalds.

Staying in Rockland:
Guests on schooner trips often stay in Rockland before or after their voyage to explore the area. Walk along the breakwater for excellent views of the harbor. Rockland's historic district contains art galleries, restaurants and bookstores. Lighthouses, antique shops, beaches and summertime festivals offer something for everyone.
